New Farm - Making in Exchange for Produce?

Hey all,

Check out this message from Winter Street Farm - perhaps someone would be interested in doing some trade?

Hello!

Winter Street Farm is looking to work with some local Makers to bring community collaboration onto our farm. We are always available to talk about any ideas the community has to offer, and have a few ideas in mind for this summer.

The ideal individuals would be interested in bartering artistic pieces for farm shares. We will be producing Organic vegetables until October this year. We also have a small amount of pick-your-own crops including cherry tomatoes and cut flowers. Our on site share pickups are ideal for a family of 2-4, but we are open to flexible bartering arrangements.

Projects for this year:

Found/repurposed lumber/timber outdoor seating : Including benches, picnic tables… ect. We have 23 acres and the capacity to pull lumber. We have been making a lot of very utilitarian furniture such as greenhouse tables but would love it if someone took the interest and time to come up with some cool nature inspired seating for our members and the community to take a second and enjoy the farm.

Farm mural : We have a ~10’X8’ white painted cement wall that we would love to see turned into a piece of art! I envision themes such as… nature, community, diversity, growth, vegetables and sustainability.

If you are interested email [email protected], or call Abby at 774-454-7637. Please feel free to share this around, hopefully we can have some fun, make some art, and build some community here on the farm!
